Group Coaching

A cohort-based approach to leadership development

Remember what it was like when you were a mid-level manager? It was both an exciting and stressful time filled with unfamiliar expectations, responsibilities and challenges. Now you’re managing high-potential managers who are going through the same rite of passage, but in a more complex world. They need guidance and support. But how much time are you really able to devote to cultivating this next generation of leaders? Group coaching can help fill that gap.

What is Group Coaching?

Group coaching is a professionally-facilitated leadership development program for small groups of high-potential, mid-level managers. Together, participants explore leadership issues and work with a coach to achieve key professional development goals.

More effective than traditional classroom training, but without the price tag of one-on-one coaching, Group Coaching offers an attractive return on investment for organizations to help their “rising stars” gain the leadership footing they need to succeed. The business impact of improved manager performance is tangible and immediate.

Who is Group Coaching for?

Group Coaching is ideal for emerging leaders experiencing similar career transitions and leadership development issues.

What are the benefits of Group Coaching?

What is the Group Coaching process?

Group Coaching participants meet monthly over a six- to 12-month period. A professional coach designs and leads each interactive group session, instructing on key leadership topics and facilitating discussion on relevant issues and challenges. The major focus is in small group exercises, helping participants apply best practices to their real world challenges. Participants report to their peers on their progress at every session, instilling accountability while refining their skills.

Throughout the program, participants also work with their coach and managers on defining and meeting their own professional development goals. Progress toward these goals is evaluated at regular intervals.
